Our clients owned a small garden with an imposing surrounding wall which we exploited to create a courtyard garden with beautiful architectural planting. A large lawn and two seating areas were implemented to maximise the space and to make it a very social space. Raised beds were built to add further interest.

"We contacted Nick Wood at The Garden Experts in mid 2006 to discuss changes to our back garden. The shape of the garden was problematic, being relatively small, irregularly shaped and with high walls on two sides.
Nick visited promptly and immediately outlined several options to improve the use of space and improve the aesthetics through combinations of shaped areas, hard landscaping and sympathetic planting. He listened closely to our brief and did not seek to impose his own preferences on us. Wherever possible he tried to interpret our tastes into the design.
Nick quickly developed plans including planting schemes, with which we were more than happy. At our request he agreed to manage the landscaping and planting project. The work started in early 2007, lasting one month. Nick's work is to the highest standard, and he ensured that all other professionals involved in the project met the same standards, attending the site regularly and keeping us fully informed as to progress. We are thrilled with the results and feel we have now got the garden we alway swanted. Nick's design has delivered a garden that is interesting in different ways throughout the year.
We have no hesitation in recommending Nick for design and / or project management work."
